Woodblock triptych print, oban tate-e. Snow scene from the kabuki play 'Akegarasu', showing the actors Bando Shuka as Urasato of Yamana-ya (centre) biting her bandana, a rope on the ground around her, Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Tokijiro (Sato Yomoshichi) standing in a purple robe talking to Kichiya as a kamuro (a courtesan's page) (left), and Arashi Kichisaburo as Yamana-ya Soemon (right) in a yellow checked robe holding a pipe standing before a stone lantern.
