Description :

Woodblock triptych print, oban tate-e. The attempted arrest of Taira no Kagekiyo, who is black-robed and carrying a naginata (centre) as he advances across a stone balcony and confronts several warriors, in the courtyard of the Todaiji temple at Nara, as a yellow-robed lord watches (right).
