Colour woodblock print. The kabuki actor Matsumoto Koshiro V as Ishikawa Goemon in the play ‘Sanmon gosan no kiri’, (楼門五三桐) (alternate names ‘Romon gosan no kiri’, ‘Kinmon gosan no kiri’), by Namiki Gohei; performed at the Nakamura-za in the 3rd month of 1826 (Bunsei 9). A poem by the actor, signed ‘Kinsho’.
