Description :
From album "Noh Ga Taikan" depicting various Noh plays in 5 volumes. First volume was done by Kogyo and Sofu. 2-5 volumes were done by Kogyo only. This print depicts the play, "Kanawa". Making a curse. The mask used for this role is called "Hashihime". It shows a woman who became a devil because of grudge, resentment and jealousy.
