Description :
From the popular kabuki play, "kanadehon Chushingura". Two kabuki actors are in the role of Yoichibei (left), the father of Okaru. The robber Sadakuro is threatening to kill him. Okaru's lover Kanbei is depicted in the round inset on the left.
