From a folio, "Akita Fuzoku; Haru no Hanga-shu, Dai-1" (Customs and Manners of Akita Prefecture; Prints in Spring, Vol.1). "Bakkeya". Tokushi was famous for the warm depictions of his home, the country side of Akita prefecture in northern Japan. Here, the children are picking the spring edible herbs in a meadow after the long winter.
