Description :

This design is from the famous painting, "Mount Fuji and Fisher Boy in a Willow Tree" which is in the collection of Freer Gallery at Smithsonian Institute. The painting had been attributed as Hokusai's, but recently there are some disputes. This print and the painting were discussed in detail by Hokusai expert, Gian Carlo Calza, in "Hokusai and His Age" by Hotei-KIT publishers, 2005.
