From the series, "Furyu Nishiki Ise Monogatari Niju-yo Mai" (The Ise Monogatari in Twenty-four Pages of Fancy Brocade Pictures). No. 20. The all the subjects depicted in this design symbolize the long and happy life. According to the reference book, crane symbolizes the life of 100 years, turtle for 1000 years, and pine tree for the happy longevity.
