"Iku Yamakawa koesari Yukaba" The English title is "First Love, No.16." Ryusei often recited the famous poem about the first love by the poet Shimazaki Toson while he carved the wood blocks for 8 years for his series, "First Love". In this series, he tried to create the neat and clean image of his ideal beauties. The artist dedicated this design to his mother.
