"Seichu Gishi Den" (Stories of Faithful Samurai). Yukukawa Sanpei Munenori, one of 47 Ronin. This series in which Kuniyoshi captured the lively and flowing movements of the heroes inspired many 47 Ronin series with similar formats by different artists.
