Description :
"Bijutsu Sekai" (The World of Art) Vol.16. Picture album series compiled by Seitei WATANABE introducing the works of well known artists of Meiji era. The series included also the designs by Edo old masters such as Utamaro, Okyo, Buson. These designs were transferred to woodblock prints mostly from paintings. 34 pages, of which 6 single page, 6 double page pictures by Kikuchi Yosai, Kyosai and Zeshin; the three great artists in Meiji era. Their seals on 3 pages. Thunder god is showing his Divine skill to the audience by Kyosai, A 4-page-long picture of a deer near water by Zeshin in this volume.
