Description :
Renowned writer, Murasaki Shikibu, in the Heian Court. She wrote "The Tale of Genji" which was the first novel in the world. The court intrigues and flamboyant relationships of Prince Genji have inspired thousands of different artists. This woodblock version was created from a painting by Nihon-ga master, KANO Tanyu.
