Description :

Interesting composition of combining three different scenes from "Kanadehon Chushingura" Act. 7. Right Sheet: 47 Ronin leader Yuranosuke (played by Ichikawa Sadanji) is receiving a secret message from Rikiya. Middle Sheet: While Yuranosuke (this one is played by Ichikawa Danjuro) is reading the letter, Okaru (Upper Right: Onoe Kikugoro) is spying it using a hand mirror. Left Sheet: Yuranosuke (played by Onoe Kikugoro) and Teraoka Heiemon (Ichikawa Sadanji) are threatening Okaru (Lower Middle: Ichikawa Danjuro).
