Description :
"Bijutsu Sekai" (The World of Art) Vol.18. Picture album series compiled by Seitei WATANABE introducing the works of well known artists of Meiji era such as Keinen, Bairei, Taki Katei and Seitei himself. The series also includes the designs by Edo old masters such as Okyo, Utamaro. These designs were transferred to woodblock prints mostly from paintings. The series of 25 volumes were published during 1890-94. This volume includes 10 double page and 6 single page illustrations plus one double page black and white illustration on the back. Chrysanthemum by Bairei, elephant by Kason, eagle by Shonen, etc.
