Description :
"San Kyoku Mitate Cho Chidori" (Three Music, Alluded to Butterfly and Plover). Courtesans are about to play three musical instruments (Most likely, a flute player was depicted on the missing left sheet). The koto player is showing a musical note which indicates,"Soga mitate; Chow Chidori". "Chow" (butterfly) and "Chidori" (plover) are the crests of the Soga Brothers. Gorgeous plum tree on the background screen adds the gaiety atmosphere.
